Choosing a date range
Section titled “Choosing a date range”Use the date range selector at the top of the page to set the reporting period. All GBP metrics update to reflect the selected range.
Filtering by location
Section titled “Filtering by location”Use the location selector to view data for a specific location. This is especially useful for multi-location brands, since each location has its own Google Business Profile.
Key metrics
Section titled “Key metrics”| Metric | What it means |
|---|---|
| Views | The number of times your business profile was viewed on Google Search or Google Maps. |
| Searches | The number of times your business appeared in search results, including direct searches (by name) and discovery searches (by category or service). |
| Actions | The total number of actions customers took on your profile, such as visiting your website, requesting directions, or calling. |
| Direction Requests | The number of times someone requested driving directions to your location from your business profile. |
| Calls | The number of times someone tapped or clicked the call button on your profile. |
Reading the data
Section titled “Reading the data”Compare views and searches to understand visibility. If searches are growing, more people are discovering your listing through Google.
Actions tell you whether profile visitors are taking meaningful steps. A high view count with low actions may suggest your profile needs updated information, photos, or reviews to encourage engagement.
Direction requests and calls are strong intent signals — these users are actively considering visiting or contacting your business.
